Maintenance Technician
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our managed properties in top condition. You will handle day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency fixes across short-let apartments and villas in Malta and Gozo. From fixing a leaking tap between guest stays to assembling furniture and troubleshooting appliances, you will be the person property managers rely on.
What You'll Do
- Carry out general repairs — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests between guest check-outs and check-ins
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on properties (A/C units, water heaters, appliances)
- Assemble and install furniture, shelving, and fixtures
- Troubleshoot and fix appliance issues (washing machines, dishwashers, ovens)
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialised work (e.g. heavy electrical, structural)
- Report property condition issues to the operations team
- Maintain a clean and safe work area after every job
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with general property maintenance or a related trade
- Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry
- A valid driving licence (you will travel between properties)
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
- Reliability — guests and property managers depend on fast turnaround
- Spoken English (written English is a plus)
- Own basic tools preferred, but not required
Location Requirement
This role is based in Malta. You must be living in Malta or willing to relocate to Malta to take up this position. We operate across all areas of Malta and Gozo, and you will be assigned to properties in your local area.
