  6. Same-day capability: Guests book last-minute. Your cleaner needs to handle a same-day turnover without drama. Ask about their rush fee and minimum notice
  7. Damage reporting: Your cleaner is often the first person to enter after a guest leaves. They should document and report damage immediately, not after the next guest checks in

Red Flags to Avoid

  • "We clean everything" — Companies that do offices, shops, and construction cleaning are unlikely to understand Airbnb-specific standards
  • No written checklist — If they cannot show you exactly what they do during a turnover, quality will vary
  • Cash only — No invoice means no tax deduction and no accountability
  • No backup teams — If their single cleaner is sick, your turnover does not happen. Ask about team depth
  • Inconsistent pricing — If the price changes every month or varies without explanation, move on
